'Drought Along the Canning'... The Canning stockroute was used to drove cattle from the Kimberley in NW W.A. to Perth in the SW, a distance of some 2000 km. A line of bores provided water along its length to water the cattle, horses and men. It crosses several deserts and is still only accessed by a very few adventurous people.
